Witter Gallery

After graduating from Chicago’s Art Institute and studying with Hans Hoffman and Diego Rivera, Ella Witter returned to Storm Lake where she founded the gallery that houses much of her collection and hosts exhibitions throughout the year, all free to the public.

Buena Vista University Art Gallery

Buena Vista University offers many cultural and arts events throughout the year. Their beautiful campus graces the shores of Storm Lake.

Tree Sculptures

Come see the Storm Lake tree sculptures! There are sculptures located throughout Storm Lake with more being completed each year at the annual Wood, Wind, and Blues festival. Come every year to see new additions to Storm Lakes shores – one tree at a time!

Lighthouses

Local artists create designs for future lighthouses, competing for the opportunity to paint one of the sculptures in their own style – the more imaginative and surprising, the better.
